The Portishead Chop

Boats on PYSC slipway ready to race.

PYSC's second Portishead Chop took place this Saturday, there were a few worried moments in the days leading up to the race where we though Storm Freya may get the better of us, but after a meeting on Friday lunchtime the race was on!

Lots of hard work was put in, on the Galley, Safety boats, trailer marshalling, OOD and many many more people too many to mention. A big "Thank You" from Hannah and I and all of the other competitors a great time was had by all including the crew from Penzance who came for some capsize practice!

A full write up of the race can be read here.

If you would like to re-live the race via the wonders of GPS tracking go over to the tracace website.

Here are a couple of video shot by Dan from the Safety Boat, if definitely felt winder that it looked....

The final word goes to Dave H, "A big thank you to everyone who helped on Saturday with the channel chop."

See you at the next one....
