Season's Greetings PYSC members
*Lots of info, and action required so please read to the end*
It's certainly been a challenging year for all of us and we are really grateful to all of those who have made sailing possible, safely and within guidelines, this year. We really hope that next year we'll be able to get back to more sailing, and ahead of that we have lots planned to keep you busy and get you ready for the new season. Merry Christmas to you all.
Club sailing is planned to start on Good Friday 2nd April. Before then, we are also scheduled to run our annual Channel Chop open meeting on Sunday 7th March. A full and varied programme has been developed for the coming year by the sailing Sub-committee, obviously all dependent on Government and RYA advice. Renewing members don't need to renew until 1st Feb, but please do so earlier, if you are able via this link https://www.pysc.org.uk/form1/ffff/member.php Information about signing up for duties will be sent separately. Any voluntary donations can be added to your membership payment - see below.
Working parties will commence from 10th Jan at 10am, and are allowed within guidelines for tier 2. We will be limiting access to the clubhouse, so bring your own thermos of tea and please follow social distancing rules. There is plenty of gardening needed so bring your gloves and clippers and spread yourselves out. We will send more details about jobs that are required so that people can go when convenient and limit contact with others.
The virtual Dinner Dance is planned for 15th Jan at 7.30pm. There will be no dancing or dinner provided - but you are welcome to bring your own of both! There will be awards and quizzes to keep you entertained - please reply to this mail with your nominations for the awards categories below. Zoom details Meeting ID: 92413069453 passcode: 472043.
